    • Directs and coordinates activities of drivers with respect to routing, scheduling, customer service and DOT regulations
    • Assist in supervising Transportation Office Associates
    • Assist in supervising Drivers
    • Set up and routing of new accounts
    • Daily communications with Sales and Office staff regarding customer issues
    • Truck maintenance and scheduling
    • New driver interviewing and road testing
    • Cover Transportation office staff vacations and cover open delivery routes if needed


    • Candidate must have five years tractor trailer driving experience, have previous leadership experience, MS Office experience.
    • Ability to stay close to the front-line while using that insight to guide policy and process initiatives. Ability to actively coach and develop the transportation team. A desire to involve our associates and motivate a team to build on a culture of constant improvement.
    • Good oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload, work well with all levels of associates, manage and motivate associates and ability to lead change.
    • High school diploma required. College degree is a plus.
    • Specialized training in transportation operations or equivalent experience helpful.
    • DOT regulation comprehension, equipment and capacity experience, is required and geographic area knowledge is required.
    • Ability to work with technology in a fast-paced and changing industry. Compliance training and audit experience a plus.
    • Thorough knowledge of RoadNet in both daily and planning functions is required.
    • Warehouse knowledge in a food distribution environment a plus.
    • Ability to pass a DOT, background investigation and drug test
